| After his 2003 activity from Christmas Island, Charlie, W0YG, will once again be active as VK9XG between November 22nd and December 9th, 2004. Charlie states, "Hopefully, those who didn't make it in the log this last time will this next time." Charlie adds, "Sorry conditions were so bad but it is not often that one schedules a DXpedition when three mass coronal ejections appear." | |||

This year Burt , W0MY (ex W0RLX), will be traveling along with W0YG. Burt will not stay the full time, but instead return to the States on December 2. Charlie will carry on until December 9 before heading back to the States. The two will do a single band effort in the CQ World Wide CW DX Contest, probably on 80 meters or perhaps another band depending on conditions. They will use the call VK9XG. |

| All the gear is already on the island except for the items both are carrying along. Two stations will be set up along with two amplifiers. David Burger, VK2CZ, who operated VK9XD, left the antenna set up so that Charles and Burt can get on the same day they arrive on the island. Again most of the activity will be on the lower bands and RTTY but there will be a bit of operating on the higher bands with a Force 12 C4S/D as time and propagation permit. | |||
| All QSLs should go to W0YG, direct only: | |||
