| This is a temporary website to provide information, news, pictures and and an online logsearch for the current HS72B activity. | ||
| We actually planned to update the HS0AC website at qsl.net until Ray, HS0ZDZ, suddenly got a severe heart attack before the SEANET convention. Let's pray for a speedy recovery of Ray! | ||
| Special operations from the special-event station HS72B are set up to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 72nd birthday anniversary, for which permission has also been granted to operate on the 1.8, 3.5, 10.1, 18 and 24 MHz bands in addition to the usual short-wave amateur radio bands. | ||
|
The callsign normally used by the club station, and how it is known worldwide, is HS0AC. |
||
| A team of

| Time Table | ||
| November 19-21st: | ||
| Look for HS72B from the SEANET Convention Hotel in Bangkok. Using a Titanex LP5 antenna (brought by DL3DXX) activity will be on most bands and modes. The operation will be by DXpedition members, SEANETvisitors and Thai operators. There should be a lot of activity but not suitable for skeds and intensive weak signal operations. | ||
| November 23-28th: | ||
|
HS72B preparation and participation in the CQ WW CW Contest as a Multi-Multi, with a formidable LF set-up. This period will be predominantly on 10, 15, 20, 40, 80 and 160 meters with very strong emphasis on the LF bands. We expect a number of visitors to the SEANET Convention to stay on to join the Thai and DXpedition team for this operation. |
||
| November 29th to Decenber 12th: | ||
| HS72B SDXO (Special DX Operation). This period will be dedicated to LF and WARC band operations by the visiting DXpedition team, but if freak openings occur on 10m etc, some team members might not be able to resist. | ||
