Team member
Rudolf, DJ3WE, happily arriving in Nepal. |
We see Falk,
DK7YY and Ben, DL6RAI, on the right after arrival. |

While Ben
and Roberto are operating, Falk, DK7YY (picture above)
and Rudolf have found a new restaurant and enjoy several
bottles of local "EVEREST" beer.

But
also the traditional means of transport, the human being, hasn't retired
yet. |
Kathmandu
is a quiet place, however police and military posts can be seen with partially
antique weapons. But they are very friendly. When we go to the hotel at
2 local time there is always a friendly welcome. |

Typical
street scene in front of our hotel. The three-wheel mini busses are very
maneuverable. Up to 12 people squeeze into these busses. |
Today
was Hindu holiday. We already believed they came to celebrate our 400 QSOs
on 80m...

The Titanex
LP5 together with the aluminum construction works really well. We have no
rotor, we turn it by hand.

The 6m tall
bamboo mast carrying the K9AY loop. It is standing as far away as possible
from the TX antennas on the smaller one of the two balconies. |

Ben,
DL6RAI, is merging the logs before they are sent to df3cb.com for the Online
Log Search. See Roberto 9N7CQ/IV3IYH in the background. |
Once
again the smaller half of the roof with a view towards the entrance of the
radio shack. It is like being in a penthouse! |
