Thanks so much for 80 m QSO. During the last two week I\'ve persistently been trying to call on Topband. Unfortunelly, without any success. Yesterday I heard Ben asking couple of times \" SP6 \". But at the same time QRM from others callers was heavy and finally I failure. All the best I hope to work again another time. best regards - Andy.

  From: Wes - SP4Z - Dec 5, 2004
Yes I did 160m QSO - last night. I\'ve been hunting for you last two days due to my trip to EI/SP4Z for CQWW contest (sorry for no contacts - I was calling you on 40m and 20m but 100w power operation and a lot of contesters did not make my dream come true). During the contest I heard your contact on 160m with UA9AYA (you called him last night on Sunday) - it was nice pleasure to copy you from Ireland even for that short moment. From my own QTH I could copy you allways when you came - 350m /beverage to the East. Congratulations on your good DX-pedition as always and God Bless for BCC Club. Also kind 73 to DK7YY Wes

After pretty long \"catch\" on 9n7bcc on 21295 I finally worked 9n7cq on 14MHz CW. I \"escaped\" from my work to home, where I have 16 elements 3 bander. I had two obstacles. First is the hill placed in your direction and the second, when conditions became good I just had to run to work. I hope I will work you on Saturday on 21MHz, too. So please, try to beam toward Slovenia around 8 or 9 UTC. And please, don\'t \"escape\" on some WARC band before you work me on 21 (hi), I don\'t have good antenna for WARC :-) Best regards, Marsell Good luck and thanks for the precious QSO.

Great opening yesterday to northeast US. I worked both yesterday 9N7BCC, and 9N7CQ, but neither are in the log, not sure why. I think 9N7BCC was logged as K0KVN (not assigned)not R. Thanks.

Great signal yesterday at 22:10z in 160mts, one of the best after the past sunday, but you give up after 5min. unfortunately. We know your qrm problem, please keep trying, After you leave 9N, there will be many more operations on other band, just as there have been in the past but 160m with a signal like this ..??. BTW thanks for your efforts. We will keep triying too. 73 MIKE EA6SX

Signals very good again in SF Bay Area on 30m long path from 0100Z (very loud) to 0150Z (fade in Bay Area). Again many callers, but few made it. Pretty sure you heard me but could not pull out my callsign - only broken versions. Thanks for the effort and we\'ll be optimistic and keep trying!

Hello guys, again. PSE QRV on 40m for JA urban radio stations, too.(with a big Antenna restriction!!)We usually listen to the both CW and SSB frequencies every night between 1300Z and 1500Z. Our (JA)phone band is between 7.033 and 7.099MHz. If possible PSE inform ur possible QRV frequecies for us to scan more easily.

Heard again in SF area on 30m with good signals (1 Dec-long path) from tune up and first CQ at about 0110Z to about 0150Z. You might try 30m a bit earlier because your signals already strong, although not as good as yesterday. Many, many NA stations calling but very, very few made it. Again, thanks for the effort!

Danke, Michael, DL2EBX

  From: Olaf - DL7CX - www.qsl.net/dl7cx - Nov 30, 2004
Danke!

  From: Garry Shapiro - NI6T - Nov 30, 2004
You guys have done a great job in the past, so we know that condx and not the operators is the cause of the scarcity of W\'s in the log. But I do think that one cannot increase the success rate with W by, for example, working JA during the short 80m opening at West Coast sunrise. If you wait until a W is loud enough to beat the JA\'s before specifying \"USA\"--as this morning-- you are unlikely to succeed. Also, you have a deliberate QRMer on 30m at 01Z. And you might try QSY to 30m a little earlier--right at our sunset--and call only NA.

Once again bad luck in 160m., other CT\'s were calling you in 1.817 but no luck. You peaked 559 at 22:30 UTC and then again at 22:56 UTC, but lots of QSB in the signal. I will be looking for you again tonight, I will only quit when you leave Kathmandu, Hi ! I really hope the CT\'s can have a chance in TopBand as I know signal from North and Central Europe are definitelly much stronger than ours down here in the \"Far\" West corner of Europe. Tnahks for all. 73 Jose CT1EEB e-mail: zemurtosa@mail.telepac.pt

Hi, Pse maximum effort on 160m at sunrise. After you leave 9N, there will be many more operations on 40 and 80m just as there have been in the past but 160m will be silent again. I have spent every free minute listening to you on 160m, have heard you peaking 9+10 dB a few times but the competition is just unbelievable and no QSO so far. Just hope this won\'t be the first time I cannot work a DX station on 160m that peaked over S9. 73, Hugo - ON7GB

You were very loud on 30m on 29 Nov between 0100Z and 0200Z, peaking about 0120Z, in the SF Bay Area, probably long path because my antenna (vertical) is very blocked to the north. Unfortunately someone was deliberately jamming you for about half of that time and no joy at this end. Please keep trying as many were calling and still looking for 9N. 73 and thanks for the nice effort.

Tried very hard to work you during the CQWW as did many other NA stations that are hearing you just fine on 40M. We\'ll keep trying on both 30M and 40M, and would appreciate you listening for NA between 1300 and 1400z. As we understand your noise levels are very high with the vertical antennas, maybe low horizontal receive antennas would work better to hear N.A. Good luck and keep trying as we will also! 73 de na5s

Hi, One of our teachers was really excited to see you guys in Nepal. She made an award winning documentary about her travels there. We have a very special friend there who is a Tibetan Lama and head Amchi at the Dancing Yak Lodge. Tsampa Ngwang was just here visiting. Any chance of settting up a sked? It would, of course, be your choice of time as we will work around your schedule. For clarification, we are not asking for a qso with Tsampa. It would just be a real thrill for us and our students! Thanks! Rich Beamish, k4bms

I was glad you were on because it shows that there is a good opening to the East Coast that time of day on 40. This time is the end of the opening that begins around 1130Z and I suspect the peak condx are around 1200Z. If possible, please listen for East Coast NA at these times during the upcoming week. Thank you for all of your efforts on the low bands. 73 de Scott, W3YX.

Please, please call CQ NA only between 1415 to 1500Z on 40 meter CW. Your signal is good in CA and I am hoping for my first 9N contact. Thank you. You are on right now at 1621Z and it is too late. You cannot hear any west coast, and many are calling.

We are eager to work you on 40m. All of the members live in a large city, so we do not have enough space for big antennas for low bands like 160m. Our lowest usable band is 40m. band. None of us have 9N on SSB on 40m.. We really appreciate if you QRV on 40, beaming to us. Looking forward to meeting there.

Up at 4a.m. and 160/80 were much better yesterday. My 160 beacon (JT1CO Chad) much weaker today. At 1600z (6a.m. hst) I heard no signals on 160, not even a JA. I was sure I would never hear you as Asia nil. Then 9N7BCC came on 1.823 and I was sure excited to hear my call and report. You better patent your 160m tx ant. A fabulous signal into kh6 on 160m. Congratulations and thanks for new one. Aloha, Bryce, kh6at

  From: Frank - W3LPL - Nov 25, 2004
Noise problems apparently prevent you from copying the many USA atations hearing you well and calling for hours on 40 meters. The best times are: 2200-0100Z 1130-1500Z (very strong peak most days at 1200Z to east coast) Please keep up your efforts to improve your receiving capabilities! Horizontal receiving antennas should be significantly better in a man-made noise environment.

One more thought on the RX antenna situation. I have found here in 9V that a low RX dipole is best in the hours just after SS and just before SR. On 160 and 80m I have a trapped full sized 160/80 just off the roof of the apartment building in the middle of Singapore and it hears very well indeed. You might try that. Even coil loaded but LOW to the roof and horizontal. Keep up the good work guys!

I have been reading about your RX troubles and we appreciate all of your efforts to work the low bands. I know you will be there for some time still but I am hoping that you can spend more time on 40m trying to work NA, especially the East Coast. There has been little chance to work 9N on 40m in many years and we would appreciate the opportunity for a QSO there. The best times should be between 1130z and 1230z and also after 2130z until your sunrise although the path at 1130z is probably best. Many thanks for the QSO on 30m. I am hopeful to work you on 40m and some of the other bands as propagation permits. 73, Scott, W3YX

I was very pleased to work \'CQ on 20m RTTY with only 20 watts. On the low band, good ears for what I know is a bad set of QRN and QSB. Here in 9V it is just as bad or even worse. It must be a nightmare to try picking up calls on your side. Manage to get through on 30m but I’m as VA3ER in the log…. Hopefully condition improves within next two weeks because for now 30m are the lowest band for NA. Best regards. George VA3EF.

Thanks for all bands!! I think you were louder here in DL as we in 9N. You did a great job! Gegen Durchfall hilft das Hausmittel ala HA0DU..hi Macht weiter so! Vy 73s de Chris DL1MGB

If at all possible can you work 40CW +/- 20 minutes of your SUNRISE time there and if at all possible +/- 1300 GMT which is our SUNRISE time in the Texas/mid USA area? At 5-10 DB down from either coast here for our max levels, Central Texas will only make it through with you kind people on 40 or even 80 a few minutes like this either side of SUNRISE at either end of the path for all but very rare occaisions. I've actually heard you in the noise on 80 peaking about 15 minutes ahead of your SUNRISE and it's gone into the noise about 10 minutes after your sun comes up there! But not good enough yet with a full 4 Square on 80 here to make it, sigh. So lowband 40 is really our only good hope this 45 minutes apart from true Gray Line effect. By skipping 40 as you come back up off 160/80 in your morning there, we lose what might be a once in a life time low band shot at 9N here just after our sunset. And as the onrush of the sun's radiance hits us a few minutes before our morning, that angled ionization curtain east of us is the prize signal improvment for us which just MIGHT make it through to you folks in your early evening there about an hour after your sunset too. Thank you so kindly for any help possible. I've waited over 40 years for this low band opportunity and know others are in the same boat in the Mid-USA area.

I was shoked yesterday when you told me on 160 that we had QSO B4 as I only called you for a while during first day and for about two hours (not continuosly) on saturday between 2230z till 0050z but never sent you a report as I did not listen you answering my call since 0046z. Your signal was very good some time but other times propagation favoured north as I see spots from DL listening you 599 when you were only 449 with QSB here. Many thanks for new one!

We could copy your signal for more than 2 hours this morning on 160m. Would you please try to improve your receiving ability? I will call you around our sunrise time (21:20 UTC) TU/GL

Please write your comments for the 9N7BCC/9N7CQ team here. The team is reading them! If you feel 9N7BCC should listen for particular areas or particular bands at certain times, please leave a note. Thanks. We know the receiving situation is tough due to the strong local noise, especially on the low bands
